Homework

Parents, please check their agenda book for daily homework. If it is
checked off, that means they turned it in already.

Beginning the second week of school, your child will have a Math 4 Today
sheet and a DLR (Daily Language Review sheet)in their homework folder. They
are to do one row of math each day, and 5 problems a day on DLR. Ex: If it
is Monday, they would do Monday's DLR for homework. We will check it all in
class the next day. Friday's DLR will be done together before the QUIZ on
Friday. So this means your child will have this expected for homework every
Mon. through Thurs. Friday and the weekend are free from DLR and
Math4Today, but other homework could be sent for the weekend.

Again this year the handbook states, that all 4th graders
are to know their addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts before the
end of the year. There will be a school wide test used by all teachers to
see if your child has met these goals. I provide multiplication flash cards
at their level if needed. For example, if they are trying to memorize the
2's, then I give them just the 2's to study. That way it isn't so
overwhelming. A good place to keep these is in the plastic pouch in their
agendas. They will be graded on these as Mastered or Needs
Improvement.

In your new agenda, somewhere put your address correctly in a 3 line
fashion, as if you are addressing an envelope. We will use this throughout
the school year.
