When will we find out about eagle Bluff?

We will be attending Eagle Bluff in April of 2009.  Eagle Bluff is an 
environmental learning center located in Lanesboro, MN.  We will stay at 
Eagle Bluff for 2 nights and 3 days.  For many students, this is their first 
time staying overnight without their parents.  Therefore, parents naturally 
have concerns/questions.  There will be a parent meeting beforehand, and you 
will be given LOTS of information before the event.

Will my child switch classes for anything?

Yes.  Your child will actually visit each 4th grade teacher during the year 
to learn about different science units.  We also divide students into math 
groups in October.  Your child may or may not have me as their math 
instructor.  You will be notified of your child's math instructor.

If I pick up my child, can I pick them up at the classroom?

No.  Due to security reasons, all students must be picked up in the office.  
If your child has an appointment, please stop in at the office to let the 
secretary know you are here.  She will phone my room, and I will then send 
your child to the office.

If my child will be absent, may we get homework in advance?

I will work with you to try to provide as much work as possible in advance.  
However, there will be work to complete upon your child's return.
