Cannon Falls Area Schools
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Independent School District No. 252 is to ensure access to a
comprehensive educational program in a positive and orderly school
environment conducive to teaching and learning wherein students are
challenged to reach their highest intellectual potential. Learning
opportunities will emphasize critical thinking skills, communication skills,
creative problem-solving skills and citizenship skills necessary for life-
long learning processes and for leading productive, fulfilling lives in a
complex, changing society.
Vision Statement – Cannon Falls School Board
The Vision of Cannon Falls Public Schools is to create a safe learning
environment that promotes high student achievement in a way that all students
are excited about learning. The Vision also includes managing and utilizing
resources efficiently, expecting our students to be good citizens, and
creating and maintaining productive educational relationships with members of
the community and ISD 252.
Cannon Falls District Goals
Cannon Falls Area Schools will promote high student achievement that stresses
successful positive experiences for our students. The district is committed
to maintaining low class size ratios and hiring high quality staff to deliver
a variety of curriculum choices and extra-curricular choices for all
students.
Cannon Falls Area Schools is committed to creating productive learning
environments for students. This includes improving curriculum, maintaining
facilities, keeping pace with technology, and creating a long-range facility
plan.
Cannon Falls Area Schools will continue to utilize resources efficiently,
continue to build a fund balance for monthly operational expenses in order to
create a fiscal balance of resources and personnel.
Cannon Falls Area Schools will maintain and create productive educational
relationships with members of the community as well as employees of ISD 252.
This will include curriculum and financial committees to keep the public
involved and informed.
