This is my 21st year of teaching. Most of these years have been spent at the
elementary level teaching first, and third grades. However, I also taught
high school and middle school band. I was an elemntary school Principal from
1996-2001. I taught first grade for one year (92-93) in Athens, Greece. I
live with my wife Jenny in North Minneapolis. We've been married for 24
years. Jenny works in the Admissions Office at the University of Minnesota.
My undergraduate and graduate degrees include:
B.S. in Instrumental Music Education from Bemidji State University
B.S. in Elementary Education from Augsburg College
M.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota
M.S. in School Administration from the University of St. Thomas
E.D.D. in Educational Leadership (dissertation unfinished) from the
University of St. Thomas

Our class is an all boys section of first grade. We accept the
responsibilities that come with this unique opportunity, and will try our
hardest at everything we do. Our mission is to reach our individual hopes
and dreams that were determined this past fall. We will also maintain our
classroom community by listening to one another, respecting our fellow Carver
students and property, helping each other, and being responsible.
