Once again we will be participating in the General Mills Box Tops for Education program, and collecting Kemps and Land O’ Lakes milk caps to raise money for Centennial Elementary. ONLY Kemps and Land O’Lakes caps are being collected. Please do not send any other types of caps in to school.
Our school needs all the help we can get. Box Tops and Milk caps make a significant contribution to our school’s bottom line, providing money for students and programs it otherwise would not have.
Collecting Box Tops/Milk caps is a very easy process: Just clip Box Tops from specially marked products (see list on back) and collect milk caps from Kemps or Land O’Lakes (see pictures for examples) and send with your child to school. Box Tops are worth 10¢ each when our school redeems them and milk caps worth 5¢ each. There will be a bucket in each classroom where the kids can turn in Tops and Caps. They will receive a small treat from their teacher when they do so. Starting in November, we will tally how many Tops/Caps come in and once a month the highest tally per class will receive a popcorn party. At the end of the year the highest total collection tally for the school year from a class will be rewarded with a pizza party! Look for our big Thermometer and the tally chart for each class near the Media Center door when you come in to school to see how well we are doing.
***Box Top / Milk Cap Reminder:
If you're turning in several box tops or milk caps in a bag, please be sure to put your teacher's name on the bag so that it gets included into the monthly classroom totals .
