CONFERENCE SCHEDULING SHEET: Please complete the scheduling sheet for our
upcoming conferences and have your child return it to me ASAP. If you can’t
find it in your child’s Friday folder, let me know. I will send you another
one on Monday.
VALENTINE LIST: We will have a Valentine exchange on the 14th. I put a list
of names on the bottom of this page to help y’all make sure you don’t forget
anybody.
IT IS TIME TO READ! February is I Love to Read Month. We have put a ton of
incentives out there to get our kids reading. Please check with your child
regularly throughout the month to be sure they are recording their minutes
and turning in their forms.
BINGO AND BASKET NIGHT: Bingo and Basket Night will be on February 24. Our
class theme is: GIFT CARDS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. If you plan on donating a
gift card or money for this fundraising activity, please do so by February 21.
MATH: Our test for chapter 8 went well. Our class average was 83%, which is
impressive considering the rigor of the material covered. Chapter 9 is
relatively short so I will be letting you know next week when the test will
be given.
ACCELERATED READER POINTS COUNT THIS YEAR: Our AR goal for February is 4
points, and the deadline is Wednesday, February 29. Let me know if you
ever need an update on your child’s progress. The numbers are always at the
tips of my fingers.
