Objectives: Students will gain knowledge about basic heat and density concepts.  Students will explore convection, conduction, and radiation in the heat chapter. They will learn about finding density of regularly shaped objects and irregularly shaped objects. They will also work with the concepts of floating and sinking.

Vocabulary: See vocabulary link below. Vocabulary words need to be written correctly, numbered, underlined, include part of speech (noun, verb, adjective, adverb), and have the science definition for each word.

Assignments:  Students will do various lab activities, reading assignments, vocabulary, CD-roms, and video reviews. I will e-mail home updates periodically during the unit through "Cougar Communications."
