The Cyrus Math, Science and Technology School, (CMST) has been operating as a magnet school for kindergarten through sixth grade students for the past 20 years. A magnet school is a public school which focuses on specialized programs. "Magnet" refers to how the schools draw students from across district lines. Presently, over half of the students at Cyrus come from surrounding school districts, including Morris, Kensington and Chokio.
