Refdesk.com is a free internet reference page with Google line, site of the
day and news bar as well as hundreds of reference links. I use it as my home
page and find it useful.

Mozilla firefox is a web browser used now by approximately 10% of the public
instead of Internet Explorer. It is said to be "safer" than IE, has
features
like "tab browsing" where a new tab is opened merely by "Ctrl
T" command, a
pop-up blocker and other features. It is a free download from firefox.com, but
loads much faster if you have high speed internet.

Flash Earth, a variation on Google Earth, but using flashplayer and thus
working better on computers that may not have adequate video cards for the
regular Google Earth.

Internet Movie Data Base: Online information about the movies and television
shows. Cast, details, trivia, etc.

If you do not have PowerPoint on your computer and wish to view a PowerPoint,
you can download a free "PowerPoint Viewer" program from Microsoft
and use it
to view Powerpoints. It is used by opening the Viewer program first and
opening the PowerPoint from within the program. It is free, but may need a
fast connection to download.
