Policies/Procedures

   Attendance
You must attend class regularly. Tardiness and excessive absences will not
be tolerated. There will be a 10% graded deduction for all students who are
absent 3 or more unexcused days, 3 unexcused tardies equals one unexcused
absence. Please tell your parents to schedule appointments, vacations, etc.
during other days or after school if possible.

Makeup Work/Late Work
All makeup work (tests, homework) must be completed or scheduled to be
completed within two (2) days for each day absent. You will receive a zero
and will not be able to make up any work which has not been completed within
that time.
All late work is subject to a 50% deduction penalty if it is turned in within
a reasonable amount of time. Any or all late work not turned in within a
reasonable amount of time may be given a zero. This will be at my discretion
and may vary from person to person and assignment to assignment. Everyone
will be treated fairly, but not all equally!

Classroom Rules 3 R’s
1. Respect
2. Responsibility
3. Relationships

1.	Respect people, property, and the value of a good education. This
classroom will have a positive, friendly atmosphere without put downs and
bullying. Your desks, books, and everything else in this room will be
treated as if you are holding the winning Powerball ticket. In other words
do not mark, fold, or destroy anything. Allow everyone including you, to be
free to learn. Do not interrupt the teacher or other students while they are
speaking and learning. Talking while taking a test will result in an
automatic zero (0) score, no one talks until the last person has finished.
No exceptions! Finally, absolutely, positively no swearing in this
classroom. There is a time and a place for everything and the classroom is
neither for swearing!

2.	Responsibility for coming to class on time and prepared. Your book,
notebook, folder, and pen or pencil will be required everyday! You are
expected to be in your seat, and quiet by the time the bell rings. You are
responsible for making up any assignments while absent. And again remember
to hand in homework on time.

3.	Relationships will be built with fellow students, teachers and with
history during the course of this year. Embrace it and make the most of it.
Strive to work well with others and to learn from others throughout the
course of the year.

Others
No cell phones, I pods, MP3 Players or calculators! If I see them I will
confiscate them per the district policy. No food, candy, or pop. I will
allow gum unless I see an abuse of this privilege.

Consequences - Failure to uphold any of the rules will result in the student
coming in at 7:45 a.m. the following morning in order to make up for and
learn from the previous day. If you fail to show up you will then be given
regular detention and still be expected to show up at 7:45 a.m. the following
day.
