Dec. 21, 2009
Students can bring a drink for the afternoon tomorrow. I would prefer
the drink be in a closed container with a lid that screws on if possible.
Juice, Gatorade, water bottles with the packets to flavor them, or pop. This
will help wash down the popcorn. I have purchased 2 bags of puffed corn with
no kernels. Since no one has come forward, I will pick up prepopped bags of
popcorn tonight for the treat.
The last day is Red/Green Day and Santa Hat day.
I wish you all a pleasant winter break. Stay safe and healthy. I'll see
you next year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Mary Schleicher

Dec. 17, 2009
Yesterday you received your child's grade report. I am very proud of
the hard work the students have been putting into their learning. The grades
they earned reflect that hard work and dedication. The personal development
section gives students some areas that they can continue to work on to become
even better at school.
Be sure to talk over any concerns you might have with your child.
Formulate a plan for reaching goals over the next trimester. Sharing goals
together can help your child achieve short term goals and feel proud of their
accomplishments.
As we approach the end of the year (2009), students tend to have trouble
concentrating. I am trying to keep the content interesting, but your
encouragement to stay focused also supports my efforts.
So far my plans for Dec. 22nd include a movie from 1:45-3:15. If I have
time, we will play some games before the movie. If you are off work and
interested in popping some popcorn and bringing it in for the movie, the kids
can enjoy a fresh popcorn treat. I will pick up some puff popcorn (no
kernels) for kids with braces. Call me if you are interested in popping the
popcorn?
Thanks,
Mrs. Mary Schleicher
