Homework

Homework is a vital part of each student's learning. It helps to reinforce
the concepts taught in class, develop good study habits, and responsibility
to be a good student. The homework is mostly a follow up from what has been
taught in class. Homework is to be done neatly and carefully. I strongly
encourage you to check over your child's homework for understanding and
reinforcement before your child brings it back to school. This is such a
noticeable self-esteem boost for your child. Please let me know if homework
gets to be too difficult or overwhelming for your child. Feel free to write
any questions or concerns you may have on his/her homework paper or in the
assignment book. Please remember, parents are teachers, too!

Your child will be bringing his/her assignment book home each night. A parent
must sign his/her name or initial the page. Please make sure that you have
checked to see if your child has completed her/his homework BEFORE you sign
the assignment book. Encourage your child to help be responsible in obtaining
your signature or initials for his/her assignment book. Your child should
have a pencil or pen right there for you to be ready to sign. I check each
day for your signature or initials.

Thank you!
