How to Use the Calendar

On each grade's calendar, you will find what your child is learning each day, what is assigned & when it is due, and when quizzes are to highlight a few of the functions of the calendar.  Click on any "event" to find out more about that event.

Click on any "quiz today!" and find out what is being quizzed, the format of the quiz, and how to prepare.

For fifth grade calendar users, use the filters to focus on selected items.  For example, if you just want to know when assignments are due, you can adjust the calendar to give you only that information.

Note:  Keep in mind that things are likely to change due to unexpected interruptions in school instructional time or due to student preparedness to move on.  So, check back frequently for updates to the calendar!

Additional Information

There are on-line flashcards available for each unit!  Be sure go to the link "On-Line Flashcards & Games" for links to these flashcards.  It is advised that these on-line flashcards & games be used regularly at home.  They are educational & they are fun!

Homework Rescue is an on-line tutoring program that has a language center equipped with fluent foreign language tutors.  The program is available seven days a week from 1-11 p.m. and can be accessed from any computer with Internet access and your library card.  Visit

Spanish 1a with Phonics is the Spanish learning software we use in class.  A google search of "Help me 2 Learn Spanish 1a with Phonics" would show you how to purchase this software for home use.  It is available for less than $30 in most cases.

Please spend some time looking around.  The website will be updated regularly and suggestions on how to improve the website are always welcome.  I hope this serves as a very helpful communication tool.
