4-10-12 Tuesday- Carpe diem!!!! We read one of Herrick's poems and discussed how it fit the carpe diem philosophy. Students were to take note of sometime throughout the day that they "seized the day". (

4-24-12 Tuesday- Read the introduction to the Resoration and Enlightenment period. Students were to take notes (assignment six) on each of the sections. Quiz on Wednesday.
4-25-12 Wednesday- Quiz.
4-26-12 Thursday- Carpe diem.
4-30-12 Monday- Typical day of beautiful reading time!
5-1-12 Tuesday- Read the selection "The Diary of Samuel Pepys" and did questions two, three, four and quickwrite number two- use your best judgement for the appropriate length here... what will meet the essence of what it's asking you to do? (assignment 7)
5-2-12 Wednesday- Started "Pursuit of Happyness" and had an assignment attached with it. Students will be looking for five events that would be worth making a diary entry about. Students should attempt to make and entry in the style of Samuel Pepys. (assignment 8)
5-3-12 Thursday- Continued with the activity from yesterday.
5-7-12 Monday- Typical Monday.
5-8-12 Tuesday- Finished the movie. Students had class time to complete the entries required for the assignment.
5-9-12 Wednesday- Read "The Spectator" and worked on question number three at the end. Students were to write informal essays, like that they just read, about their school experience. They need to have four separate categories, so four short informal essays. (assignment 9)
