What time does school start and end?
School starts at 9:10AM and ends at 4:05PM. On early release
days we end at
1:10PM.
Can I send in treats for my child's birthday?
Yes, store bought individual treats may be brought in for
birthdays. One snack per student, and no drinks or cakes are
allowed.
Does the class have a snack time?
Yes, we eat snack in the afternoon when the students get back
from specials (2:35). The snack should be a dry, easy to eat without
utensils snack. Please no pudding, apple sauce, or any other wet
or messy snacks. Also, please do not send in a drink with your
child for snack time.
How many students are in the class?
There are 22 kids in the class. We have 12 boys and 10 girls.
Can I come and have lunch with my child?
Yes, if you would like to join your child for lunch you can meet
them at 11:30 (our lunch time) in the cafeteria.
What if I want to volunteer, but can't because of work?
Just let me know, I always have things that can be done from home.
What is the best way to get a hold of my child's teacher?
Email is the best. I am able to check that a couple of times a
day. If you call during the time that I am teaching I will be
unavailable to talk, but you can leave a voicemail. I will not
be able to return calls until my plan period, which is at the end
of the day. I am usually at school about an hour before hand if
you want to try to reach me then.
What if plans change for my child's transportation?
If plans change for your child's transportation, please send a
note that day.
Can my child bring a water bottle to school?
No, please do not send a water bottle to school with your child.
We have a water fountain right outside our classroom. I do allow
my students to get drinks at the appropriate times.
What if I need to pick my child up early from school?
Please send a note with your child if they are to be picked up
early by you or someone else. If you have occasion to pick up
your child before normal dismissal, please report to the office
and they will contact us. It will be necessary to show some
identification at the office.
