Hello and welcome to first grade in room 10. I am Erin DeBrock and this is
my eighth year teaching at Becky-David. I have taught one year in second
grade and this is my seventh year teaching first grade. I have been married
for six years to my husband, Garrett. I have a three-year-old daughter named
Grace and have another baby girl on the way. Ava Renee is expected in late
August!
My philosophy of education revolves around the belief that every child can
and will learn. It is the responsibility of the teacher to set up a
learning environment that is positive, rewarding, and centered around the
child. I also believe strongly that a child learns most effectively when
the lessons incorporate hands-on activities with the use of manipulatives to
make certain concepts more meaningful and easier to understand. I am
completely dedicated to making your child's experience at Becky-David the
best it can be.
