I began teaching in 1989 after earning a BS degree from SIUE in Early Childhood Education. I
joined the faculty of Becky-David as a first grade teacher in 1991. In 1997 I received my MS degree
from SIUE in Elementary Education with an emphasis in reading instruction. I continue to read on
several topics including reading instruction, gifted instruction, learning styles, right-brained learners
and learning disabilities.
I have been married to my husband Brian since 1995. We have 2 daughters, Elizabeth in 7th
grade and Eleanor in 4th. We have our home in Webster Groves with family and friends close by.
When not busy with school or family, I enjoy reading anything by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, James
Patterson or John Grisham. I also love working in my flower gardens.
