We're back to school and so far so good!
Thanks to everyone who has already helped their child register for middle
school. If you have any questions are concerns regarding registration you can
contact Mrs. Kircher-Morris at 851-4229.
I've noticed that there have been several students who are not completing
their assignments at home. Please check your child's agenda each evening. If
your child has late or missing work, I will write a note to you regarding this
and you can address it with your child. It is not uncommon for fifth graders
to forget that they have assignments that are incomplete, especially if they
are not used to having homework. By checking their agenda, you can ask to see
the completed work that is listed. I rarely collect work on the same day that
I assign it.
We are beginning to have parents cancel out on our upcoming field trip. If
you can volunteer we would appreciate any help we can get. Remember, however,
that in order to volunteer, you must complete a district training. The only
training date between now and the field trip is February 1. We must have a
minimum of 22 volunteers per day and currently we have several parents who
have not completed the training, so we may not have enough!
Also, field trip information came home this past week, as well as yearbook
information. If you didn't see these papers, check with your child. The
information may still be in their binder.
