When does school start and end?

School will now begin at 8:00, and students will be dismissed at 3:30.

Is there homework in first grade?

Reading... Read to and with your child as much as possible.  I will begin
sending books home with a sheet to sign around October.
We will also begin spelling tests, so you need to practice reading, writing,
and orally spelling these words.

Is there snack time in first grade?

Yes!  I will send a monthly snack calendar home with a day that you are
responsible to send snack.

Do you need help in your classroom?

Yes!  Parents, please let me know if you are interested in volunteering in our
classroom.  I always need help preparing items for class, having students read
to you, and giving a little extra tutoring time to some students.  Let me know
what you enjoy doing. We can set up a time.  If you want to help, but can only
work from home, I can always send things home with your child to be prepared
at home and sent back.
