I love speaking, reading, listening, writing and especially teaching Spanish.
My husband and I, with our two daughters worked in Mexico for 3 years at Ninos
de Mexico, a children's home. There I taught English as a Second Language, and
instructed physical education for preschool-kindergarten students. We also
hosted church mission groups from the U.S. during the summer time. In 2004, we
came back to the United States, and I began working towards my Spanish teaching
degree to be able to share the Spanish I had learned, used, and breathed. In
2009, I graduated from Missouri Southern State University.
I believe in order to fully understand another culture, you must acknowledge
that there will be things that you consider different when learning about
another language or culture. Things are different, but you must remember that
just because they are different does not mean that they are weird. If you can
come to accept this, learning Spanish or any other world language or culture
will be much easier to understand.
