The guidance and counseling program includes the following areas of service:
1. Guidance Curriculum-Student awareness and application of skills needed in
everyday life are developed through classroom lessons and structured groups.
Activities provide information about...*Academic Development,* *Personal and
Social Development,* and *Career Development*
2. Individual Planning- The guidance progam assists individual students in
goal setting, decision making, and planning educational career opportunities.
3. Responsive Services- The guidance program meets the immediate needs and
concerns of students through prevention and intervention strategies in
dealing with relationships, personal concerns, or normal developmental tasks
in a confidential manner.
Your guidance counselor is also available for individual counseling, small
group counseling, crisis counseling,
consultations and referrals.
The Guidance Department contributes to the district’s mission of assuring
each student opportunities to become skilled, creative, confident, and
healthy individuals prepared for life, work, and citizenship in an ever-
changing global society. Guidance personnel teach competencies in career,
personal, social, and academic development which helps to prepare students to
become contributing citizens.
