Will my child have homework every night?

Your child will probably have more homework in math than any
other subject. Math skills are obtained and mastered through
practice.
Homework is not assigned every single day, however, it is
assigned most days.
With this being said, your child may complete the assignment
during class or study time and may not bring anything home. Daily
entries in the student's agenda reflect whether or not homework
was assigned that day.

What is the policy for turning in late work?

Students who do not have their assignment completed when class
begins will receive a mark on the chart for incomplete work.
Assignments turned in late will receive a reduced grade.
This applies to assignments turned in late in Mrs. Northup's
Social Studies class.

What can if do if I don't know how to help my child with his/her Math homework?

If your child did not understand the lesson, they should bring
their Student Reference Book (SRB) home with their assignment.
The SRB is a great tool intended to help the student (and parent)
to better understand the lesson. Students are encouraged to take
their SRB home to use, however, it must be brought back to
school daily and may not remain at home.
