This is my twelvth year of teaching at Carl Junction. I graduated from
Missouri Southern State University in 1998 with a Middle School degree in
Social Studies. I earned my Masters in Education from Pittsburg State
University in 2006.
I have made Carl Junction my home for the past 18 years even though I am
originally from the Panhandle of Texas. I am a proud parent of 3 grown
children (two sons and a daughter) and grandparent of two grand-daughters and
three grandsons. I love teaching at Carl Junction Jr. High and am proud to be
a
bulldog.
I have a passion for gardening and the outdoors. I love spending my
summers with family at our cabin in Colorado. I enjoy going to my sons
concerts who plays in an orchestra in Oklahoma City while working on his
master's degree in performance.
Students in my classes will develop an understanding and appreciation of the
contributions of the diverse civilizations and cultures have made throughout
history and the impact that they have had on the development of democratic
ideals. Students will study ancient world civilizations that have helped
shape the world our students live in today.
Students in the classroom will experience a wide variety of educational
opportunities including writing, speaking, projects, student interactive
projects, and technology. Students will develop skills that will assist
them in becoming responsible and productive citizens.
