FAQ

  1. Do students still have to read AR books?
  2. Can my child earn extra credit points to bring up their grade?

Do students still have to read AR books?

No, they do not, however, it is required that all students have a
book with them to read when they have time in class, for example,
when they have completed an assignment before everyone else is
finished. The book doesn't have to be on AR, but students can
read and test over AR books to get extra credit points.

Can my child earn extra credit points to bring up their grade?

Yes. Students may read AR books and test over them to earn extra
credit points. A student may earn up to 25 extra credit points
per quarter by earning 25 AR points. They may read any number of
AR books at any reading level, as long as they are on AR. They
will test over the book on the computer, and get the same amount
of extra credit as the amount of points they receive for passing
the AR test. They may test either in my room or in the library.
