Dear Parents,
Can you believe that the summer is over and it’s already time for school? We
are in store for a fantastic year. I am so excited to be part of your
child’s second grade year. I am looking forward to getting to know you and
your child. It is going to be a great time of fun and learning. I would
like to take this time to introduce myself.
My name is Michelle Lea (Lundien) Duley. I grew up in this area and I am a
1989 graduate of Carl Junction High School. I graduated from Missouri
Southern University in December of 2000 with my Bachelor’s degree in
elementary education and a specialty certificate in early childhood. This is
my seventh year teaching 2nd grade at the Carl Junction R-1 Primary 2/3
building. I also have had the opportunity to teach kindergarten, first
grade, and fifth grade; as well as being a substitute teacher and a teacher’s
aide. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Rick, for 21 years
and we have two wonderful children. My daughter, Rickie Lea, is 18. She
is a senior at the High School, she loves any kind of sport but her
favorites are softball & volleyball. My son, Levi, is 11. He will be in the
sixth grade this year. He is “all boy” and loves being outside playing all
kinds of sports, especially football. I enjoy being a part of my children’s
lives. I feel that my job as a wife and a mom is very important. We live on
our family farm northeast of Carl Junction. I am thrilled about teaching in
the Carl Junction School District.
I have attached information concerning our classroom schedules, behavior
management, homework, book order, etc. I look forward to working with you
and your child in the months to come. I want to keep the lines of
communication open between the classroom and home so Please let me know if
you have any questions, concerns or comments about your child. I want to
make this year a fun and positive experience for your child.
