Book order deadline is today, but if you bring it on Monday it's fine. I will make the order Monday!Our SMART BOARD was installed last week and boy do we love it!!! We have used it plenty already! Ask your kiddo how we have incorporated it so far. What a cool tool for our classroom! Thank you CJ School Board!Next week is our BIG MUSICAL! An email went home last week from the music and art teacher AND they sent home a letter last week. I will attach the letter to the web site so you can refer back. Please have them here by 5:30 Thursday night. They have all worked really hard on this and they can't wait to share!Study Island: The kids have started Study Island in the computer lab. They can also work on it at home. The site is Studyisland.com. The kids know their username and password so they can jump right on where they left off. It is their goal to get through all of communication arts and math by April, so the sooner the better! When they make it through either program I will give them 10$ in classroom money. This site helps them prepare for the MAP test in April. The questions are VERY similar to what they will see on the test.This quarter we will be starting our PLANTS unit! SO FUN! We will participate in the ENTIRE life cycle of a plant, including pollination with real bees (they are dead by the way). This unit is always a lot of fun for the kids. We will start an economics unit too. Supply and demand, producers and consumers......Here are some dates to keep in mind: February 6 banana split testing will begin (every M-W-F) They will be timed (2 minutes) April 10-13 MAP testing. Please try not to plan ANYTHING extra that week. Attendence is crucial! :) May 2 All day field trip to Fort Scott (you can go, but you have to drive) May 11 Banana Split party day (need volunteers)Keep working on multiplication at home.
