BIST TIP

If the child’s behavior continues to be hurtful or disruptive in the safe set, a child may be escorted to another classroom’s safe place, the recovery room, or to the office.  If a child still cannot manage their behavior, it may be necessary to send them home.  This progression is not a punishment, but a series of steps to keep children at school safe and let other students in the classroom learn.

Dear Parents,

Thank you so very much or the awesome party on October 30. The Pirates in Room 5 had a fantastic time and really came home with a lot of loot.  The games were very fun for them to play, also.  Thank you again for a great fall festival party.

Your child may be bringing home a copy of a play that we will be doing on Tuesday, November 24 at 12:30 in our room. The children will be expected to memorize their lines.  No costumes will be needed for I have them all under control.  Please mark your calendar for this great production starring Room 5.

This week we have been learning about words that help putting things in order.  Nouns can sometimes be made plural by adding s, es, or changing the y to an I and adding es.  Learning to do words problems is what we have been learning about in math.  We have started to read the letters that our grandparents have sent to us telling us about the olden days.  The children can hardly believe what I am reading.

We have been writing captions on our pictures for our photo album.  The children are doing a good job of being the reporter of the event.

Some parents have been asking about the Christmas party. This is what we do for the party.  Every child will pay $4 to attend a movie at the Grand Six.  We will not buy anything at the movie.  The parents who have signed up will send the items that are requested for the party.  At the given time we will take a bus to the Grand 6 watch the movie and come back for lunch. Those parents who have signed up for the party are:  Tiffany Walker, Mandy Smith, Bill Hayen, Marie Kitchin, and Jessica Washburn.  I will be in touch with you on what to bring.

Have a great weekend.  The weather is predicted to be very nice.  The TV said maybe nice enough to set some records.

Have a safe, happy, outside weekend.  I’ll be waiting for my honeys

on Monday.                                                                             Mrs. Scott
