The writing focus of third quarter is fiction. Students are now at the
drafting stage. The entire story needs to be written by Thursday Feb
16 - beginning, middle and END. Allot yourself enough time for this
writing; you will have time in class, but not enough to do all the
writing.

Students are working on diagramming compound sentences. There will be 
a test on Tuesday. Some students will be given additional practice on 
Monday that will be due on Tuesday
