English class is composed of writing workshop and spelling/vocabulary.
Every Wednesday, students will have a spelling or vocabulary test.
Vocabulary words can be found in their book, Vocabulary Workshop. In
spelling, students select fifteen words to study from lists located in their
spelling folders.
***A spelling test is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov 11.***
During second quarter our studies will focus on essay-writing. Every student
will be expected to write two essays, one on a self-selected topic of
interest, and the other on an assigned topic. Students will also begin to
publish their best first quarter writing on the seventh grade writing website.
