HANDWRITING:
I am very pleased with how well the children are progressing in their handwriting. They are working very hard in writing their first and last name on their morning work and also with the writing of words that are required within their daily workbooks. The children are becoming more confident at writing the morning message from the board and sound-spelling words with some assistance from me.
ART:
The children will be making a picture of 'My Dandelion Wish for Summer' this week. It will be proudly displayed in the hallway for everyone to see at Holy Infant.
SCIENCE:
The students have enjoyed learning about the different stages of the lifecycle of a butterfly by observing five caterpillars (soon to be Painted Lady butterflies) within our classroom. They were very excited to see the caterpillars change into a chrysalis within the butterfly culture at the beginning of last week. I just moved them into our classroom butterfly observation net last Friday so that they can begin to emerge from the chrysalis into a butterfly. We are hoping to set them free towards the end of this week to begin their new life in the world created by God the Father.
Have a wonderful week!
