Chapter 3: Cultures Meet
 
In this chapter the students will focus on the conflicts and cooperation that existed between and among Europeans and Native Americans during the early days of exploration and colonization. In particular, they will learn:
  • Why did Europeans begin to explore different areas of the world?
  • What explorers led key expeditions and what routes did they follow?
  • How did European explorations change the lives of Native Americans?
