For the third year, Incarnate Word 4th and 5th grade students will
be participating in the Missouri State Mark Twain Award. 4th grade
students are required to read 6 of the nominees and 5th grade are
required to read 7. For each required book, students complete a
reading strategy. This has been a very popular program with the students
and has created a great deal of excitement about reading.
The nominated titles are chosen primarily by students and the voting
on the award winner is entirely by students.
Voting takes place early March. The award winner is usually announced
mid April.
