Week of November 16 - 20, 2009

* Religion - We gave thanks to God for the gift of our 5 senses that he gave us. We use our 5 senses to discover and enjoy His world.

* Math - We can identify and write the number that comes just before, just after, and between other numbers.

* Ii is for Indians! Did you happen to see one on Friday? We sure did! "Ask Me" to sing the song, I'm A Little Indian on the Go! We certainly enjoyed learning all about these Native Americans and dressing up like them too!

* Next Tuesday, Nov. 24, we have our "sharing feast" with our Prayer Partners. Remember to send a special treat to share at lunchtime.

* Only 2 days of school next week. A happy and blessed Thanksgiving to all!

* Books we enjoyed: The Pilgrims First Thanksgiving, I Wanna Iguana, and Isabella Inchworm.

* Our new library word is avid. It means eager. We are all avid readers.

* Christopher's Gingerbread Man returned from Colorado. When will the next one return?!

* Thanks to all who donated to the can food drive for Circle of Concern.

* No Sunshine Books next week due to it being a short week.

* No new letter of the week. We'll review all the letters we have covered so far. But, the new letter after Thanksgiving will be Rr.

* Only 5 more days until Thanksgiving! It's turkey and pumpkin pie for me!

* We're thankful for sunnier skies! Enjoy your weekend!
