Spelling

Students continue constructing knowledge of Spelling in fifth grade by reviewing previously learned spelling rules in new words. Much of the Spelling work involves working independently, though the class works together in spelling challenges, games and activities.
Students will enjoy several mini-lessons on the history of spelling and the historical development of the English Language.
For Spelling enrichment, students should visit the webpage called "Digital Library."
