FOR STAFF: Montgomery County Health Department is offering flu clinics for
buildings that have at least 10 people sign up. Cost is $20.00 at time of
clinic and is reimbursable through our insurance. Please contact your
school nurse or health tech ASAP to sign up!

GOOD NEWS!!!
We recently received good news from the Missouri Foundation for Health.
Our officail letter reads--
"Congratulations! I am pleased to announce the Board of Directors of the
Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) recently approved your 36-month grant
request of $337,490 to support Improving Community Activity and Nutrition
(ICAN) in Montgomery County. You should receive your Grant Award Agreement
in the next few weeks."
With this new award, the focus will be on students in grades K-5 with the
continuance of doubled elementary PE time, a budget for elementary PE
equipment, and beyond-the-school day programs. Staff and community exercise
programs will continue in all school communities.
A full report on what this grant award means to Montgomery County R-II will
be shared at the next School Health Advisory Council meeting on Monday, Nov
17, 2008 at 4 pm.
