I am a graduate of Culver- Stockton College and William Woods University
with degrees in Elementary Education and Education Administration. I have
been married for 14 years to Rick Grunden. Rick teaches in Pilot Grove and is
the boys basketball and track coach. Together we have two daughters.
Rileigh is 13 and is a 8th grader, and Raeann is 9 and is in the
4th grade. I am also the proud parent of a 7 year old Weimaraner named
Pearl. We live in Pilot Grove.
I was raised in Warsaw, Illinois located right on the Mississippi
River. I lived there all of my life until going to college, where I played
basketball and volleyball. My mother still lives in Warsaw and is recently
retired. Olathe, Kansas is where my dad lives, he works
for a national gas company focusing on sales/ marketing. I have one
brother, Joe, who is an Iowa pig farmer. My sister, Shelly, is a mortgage
loan officer in the St. Louis area. I have several nieces and nephews: Ian,
Skylar, Joey, Shelly, and Brooke.
I love to watch sports, read, learn new things, and play with my children.
I am also a junk food junkie! My worst habit is watching TV!
I believe in having fun everyday and that attitude is everything! I think
learning comes with a good attitude and making it something that kids will
use. I expect my students to be responsible, organized, and willing to
learn. It is my hope that at the end of the year students will have a great
attitude about school, have had fun, and learned along the way.
