I have a Bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in art and
a Master's Degree in elementary education from Lincoln University in
Jefferson City. I received my gifted certification from Drury University in
Springfield.
I began my teaching career with a first and second grade classroom at Sacred
Heart in Rich Fountain. I then taught five years at St. Joseph School in
Westphalia, where I had a fifth grade homeroom and taught art and science to
all the fifth through eighth grade students. I then taught for one year at
Meta School for the Fatima School District. I taught in the fifth and sixth
grade classroom. Then I was tranferred to Fatima Elementary where I had
sixth grade for one year and gifted and at-risk for three years. I am
currently the 6th grade teacher and the gifted coordinator. I have held that
position for 10 years.
My husband and I have two sons. One is a sophomore in college; the other is
a senior in high school. In my free time, I like to do crossword puzzles,
knit, crochet, make jewelry, and scrapbook.
