Behavior Expectations

Students in the middle school are held to a high standard of behavior. As in all grades, we
continue to stress respect for self and others. This general middle school discipline procedure
is a version that flows directly from the intermediate token system.

Every two weeks the student starts with a clean slate. Students who do not abide by the
expected standard of behavior and guidelines set out in the handbook will receive a blue
slip, the earned consequence of their actions. Three (3) blue slips within a two (2) week
period will result in a twenty (20) minute detention before or after school. The homeroom
teacher will contact the parents to set up a mutually convenient time. If it becomes necessary
for your son or daughter to stay after school twice, you will be contacted for a conference.

Students who have not had to stay after school will participate in a quarterly reward.
