Semester exams are an important part of the middle school curriculum that help the students make a
successful transition into high school expectations. This approach has been validated as important by
our past graduates. Our goals are to introduce students to end of semester exams, teach them how to
study for this kind of testing, and help them build confidence in the process.
*As discussed with Mr. Ryan, look at your science binder as a series of "snap-shots" of the work you
have completed this year. To put your studies in perspective, look at all of these snap-shots together as
a video of your accomplishments and the material you need to know for your exams.*
The following schedules allow the students to experience semester exams with increasing volume as
they progress from grade six to grade eight. First semester exams will be given in December before
Christmas break, and second semester exams will given during the month of May.
First Semester 7th Grade Exam Schedule:
December 12, 2011: Religion Exam
December 15, 2011: English Exam
December 19, 2011: Science Exam (Room 7A)
December 20, 2011: Science Exam (Room 7B), Computer Exam (Room 7A)
