This is Mr. Ryan's fifth year at St. Gerard Majella. I strive to give my
students a meaningful, hands-on experience during every lesson.
Mr. Ryan occasionally brings in some of his reptile friends to visit to
enhance our learning experience. Please do not hesitate to tell Mr. Ryan if
you are uncomfortable with snakes. I am happy to accomadate you. I used to
have a terrible phobia of snakes, so I understand.
I completed my undergraduate work of the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I
am certified by the State of Missouri to teach middle school science, middle
school social studies, and secondary social studies as well. Please do not
hesitate to ask if you need help in any subject.
I am currently enrolled in a master's program in special education at Webster
University. I anticipate completion of this degree in 2011.
My mission for the science class is simple... Science is generally thought
of as a topic we study in school. Science is really a way of thinking and
looking at the world to find answers. Similar to how an explorer ventures
out into the world because he/she asks themselves, "What's out there?" I
would like all of my students to be able to think like a scientist, and apply
this way of thinking to all their subjects. Communication skills will be
emphasized as well.
