FAQFrequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
Each child has a lunch account at school. Your parents can send $$ to school and it will be applied to your lunch account. Each time you eat in the Cafeteria, the money will be deducted from your account. When the money in your lunch account runs out, your parents will be sent a note so they can send more money to fund your account. Some families send in lunch money at the beginning of the month. Others send it in at the beginning of each week. Some prefer to send in a larger amount, like say, $50. You family can decide which way works best for you. Do I have to eat in the Cafeteria every day? No, you can choose the days you wish to eat in the Cafeteria. A monthly menu is sent home to help you plan. There is also a menu posted on this website. A lunch count is taken at the beginning of each day so you can decide which days you want to bring your lunch and which days you want to eat the Cafeteria lunch. Most children eat the lunch provided in the Cafeteria. Can I bring my lunch from home? Yes, you can bring your lunch from home if you wish. You can purchase a carton of milk for a quarter. Or you can pay for your milk from your lunch account. Can I send treats for my birthday? Yes you can. Some ideas are: cupcakes, donuts, cookies, etc. We have 21 students in the class plus one teacher and one teacher's aide. If your birthday falls on a school day you can send the treats that day. If it falls on the weekend, let your teacher know which day you will be sending treats. Treats should be at school before 10:00 so that they can be eaten during the morning recess. What if my birthday is during the summer? We can celebrate your 1/2 birthday. For instance, if your birthday is on June 5, we can celebrate your 1/2 birthday on December 5. |
