While your child is Star of the Week, each day of the week will consist of an exciting event or activity to honor him or her.

Monday: Sharing Sack - A small bag that says "Star of the Week" has been sent home with your child to use as a “sharing sack”. Please help your child collect 3 special items to share with the class that has some sort of meaning to your child & put in the bag to return to school on Monday. Also, please send a 4 X 6 photo of your child.  

 

Tuesday: Favorite Book - The star will bring his or her favorite picture book to share with the class. (The child/teacher may read the book to the class).

 

Wednesday: Lunch Buddy - The Star Student may choose 2 friends to eat lunch with them and myself in our classroom. They may choose one friend from our classroom and one friend from Mrs. Tarrillion's classroom; or they may choose 2 friends from our classroom.

Thursday: Parent Letter - Parents, please write a letter to the class telling us how special your child is to you. Send the letter in a sealed envelope to school with your child, and I will read it to the class. The content of the letter is up to you, but you may choose from the following ideas: write a silly or serious poem about your child, tell us some neat things we may not know about your child, send special pictures of your child with a description of the pictures, write a short story with your child as the main character, or write a letter of your choice, etc.

 

Friday:Star Picture Frame - The star student will be presented with a decorated picture frame created by classmates & teachers. He or she will bring this home on Friday.
