November Book Report November Book Report November Book Report
Due: November 24, 2009
This month we are going to read biographies. A biography is a book about
the life of a real person. You may choose to read about any person you'd
like to learn more about, as long as you can find a book on that person. You
can find your book at the school library, the classroom library, or the
public library.
Remember to read at least 15 minutes every night and keep track of all
the books you read this month on your Reading Log. Have Mom or Dad sign your
log after you have told them about what you read.
For your report this month, you are going to make a puppet of the person
you read about. You can use paper bags, old socks, Popsicle sticks, paper
plates, scraps of material, yarn, or anything else you can think of to help
you make your puppet. Be creative and do your best at trying to make your
puppet look like the person you read about. For example, if your person had
a beard and wore a tall, black hat, make sure your puppet does, too! Bring
your puppet to school and be ready to tell us all about your person. You are
the one who read about them so you are the expert. Teach us about him or
her.
Here is a list of questions/facts to tell us about:
1. Background~ When and where was your person born/grow up?
Did they have any brohers or sisters?
Did they have any hobbies/special interests?
What was it like for them growing up?
2. What is your person known for?
Give at least 5 facts about what your person did.
You can give more if you'd like.
3. What could everyone learn from your person?
4. What did you find the most interesting about your person?
I hope you enjoy this book report. I think you will find these books a lot
of fun. Have a great time. I look forward to hearing about everything you
learned. These are some of my favorite book reports!
As always, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Happy Reading,
Mrs. Triller :-)
