Hi, my name is Cindy Chitwood. I am married and my husband's name is Steve,
we have two daughters and three grandchildren.
I have been teaching since 1993. I received my B.S. Degree from
Southeast Missouri University, Master of Arts in Teaching from Webster
University, Cross Categorical Certification from Missouri University, Reading
Recovery Certification from Southeast Missouri University. I am the
Chairperson for the Sunrise Career Ladder Program and I am a member
of the Care Team and the Superintendent's Advisory Committee in our district.
I have taught in 1st grade, 6-8 Communication Arts, At Risk, Special
Education, in Title 1 Reading and now as a Reading Coach for the Primary
Grades K-2. I am looking forward to my new duties and responsibilities as a
fascilitator and intervention specialist.
My mission is to help all students to become more confident readers and
writers.
