How can I help my child at home?

My best suggestion is to go over the papers that are coming home with your
child.  Talk to them about what they did and why.  If you see them making the
same mistake again and again, practice that skill.

Should my child be reading?

Not yet.  We will begin on the first day introducing our first sight word I. 
I hope to have most of the children reading simple text by the end of September.
