Volunteer InformationRoom Parent The three parties we will have in kindergarten are: Halloween – October Christmas – December Valentine’s Day – February The parties will begin at 2:00p.m., and last approximately one hour. Often times there will be one parent assigned as the room parent. That parent plans the food, games, and crafts for the party. The room parent will have a list of parents that have signed up to help, and will be in charge of contacting those parents to see what they would like to bring for the party, or how they would like to help. Please fill out and detach the bottom portion of this form and return to your child’s teacher by September 14th. Field Trip Volunteers We will go on at least two Field Trips this year. We usually try to go to a pumpkin patch around Halloween, and at the end of the year in May we go to Grants Farm. If you would like to attend any Field Trips that we go on this year with your child you will need to let me know when I have sent out a form to sign (closer to our field trip); however if you choose to go on a Field Trip with your child, and would like to watch a couple extra students, or even a group of students (which would be greatly appreciated), you will need to have a background check. The background check is FREE, if you go through our school to get one. For information on background checks, please see the office. I will send permission slips, and volunteer slips home closer to each of our Field Trips. Also, at the end of the year in May we always have a “FUN DAY”. This event is spread out over the entire school day, and we will definitely need parent volunteers for this day. A letter will be sent home reminding parents of this day, and asking for volunteers.
