About The Teacher

      Hi, welcome to my web page!!  My name is Angela Hutson.  I am one of the
third grade teachers here at Sunrise R-9 School.  This is my 19th year
teaching.  I have 25 wonderful students in my class…10 boys and 15 girls.

Activities For Our Class

Some of the fun things we will be doing this year includes….

 

      *Getting “caught up” in spiders with a classroom web.

      *Organizing into Native American tribes.

      *Student of the Week

      *Learning about our Presidents with report research and writing.

      *Out of this world studying of our solar system and planets.

      *Weather watching and charting.

      *An “eggs”cellent science project.

      *Reading incentives…AR, Pizza Hut Book It, and Six Flags Six Hour    
       Reading Club.


      Last, and a favorite of the class, pen pal writing.  For the past 15+
years (so many we’ve lost count) I have teamed up with Mrs. Kathy Psencik at
Brown Elementary in Whitehouse, Texas.  This year Mrs. Psencik will be 
teaching a different area though so we will be writing Mrs. Stephanie 
Williams's class. Each month our 3rd graders write to their chosen pen pal(s).
Thanks Mrs. Psencik for many, many great years.  Welcome Mrs. Williams!!!!  
I'm looking forward to many great years with you.
