How does the “Frog Behavior Chart” work?

Each day students start off in the “Happy Zone”. Each time a student breaks
a school/classroom rule they must move a frog. The first offense is always
a warning. The second offense students lose 5 minutes of their recess. The
third offense students lose 10 minutes of their recess. The fourth offense
students lose all of their recess, and parents are notified (by note or
phone call). If rules continue to be broken after the first parent contact,
students will be sent to the principal for further discipline.

Does the school offer tutoring?

Yes, the school does offer tutoring for your child. About the time of our
first parent teacher conference you should have a good idea of whether or
not your child is in need of tutoring. There is a limit on the number of
students that can be tutored; therefore we will need to decide if your child
will best benefit from tutoring or if they just need additional practice at
home.

On my child's birthday is it alright to send a treat for the class?

Yes, you may absolutely bring a treat for your child’s birthday; however the
school policy states that if you bring a treat or snack it must be store
bought. If you choose to send treats you may either drop the treats off
before school or after 1:15 p.m.
