About The Teacher

I am originally from Frankenmuth, Michigan. However, in July of
2008, I moved to Oxford. I love living in the South and working at Batesville
Elementary School.

I have two adorable pugs named Iggy and Reuben. I spend my free time playing
with them, reading, and gardening. I also just got married to my husband,
Aaron Johnson. It was a fabulous wedding and I couldn't be happier.

I have been teaching Kindergarten for seven years.I love teaching
Kindergarten and can't imagine teaching any other grade. I have taught just
four years in MS. The rest of my teaching experience comes from Michigan and
Atlanta, GA.

My educational background consists of an undergraduate degree from Grand
Valley State University in addition to a M.Ed degree in Reading and Literacy
from Walden University.

Thank you for the opportunity to teach your child this year! I am very excited
about working together as a team to provide the best learning experience for
your child.

Feel free to email, write, or call me as much as you need this year.
Kindergarten is a special time for children. For some, it can be their first
experience with school. Therefore, I want it to be the best experience
possible, so don't hesitate to contact me.:)

Mission For The Class

My mission is to make learning fun and "hands on." I want every child in my
class to enter First grade with the tools and skills to be successful. I
value character education and will work hard to improve your child's social
skills.

What every child should experience: Approval, Friendship, Encouragement,
