I grew up in Hernando, MS and graduated from Hernando High School in 1999.
I attended Ole Miss and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor's in Elementary
Eduction. Upon graduating from Ole Miss, I married my husband, Paul B.
Watkins Jr. of Vicksburg, MS. I have taught in Coffeeville, Oxford, and Horn
Lake. I currently live in Oxford with my husband, Paul, and infant daughter,
Lillie.
I am delighted to be in my third year at Batesville Junior High School. I
will be your child’s 8th grade English teacher for the 2010-2011 school year.
I look forward to guiding and facilitating the students’ learning in order to
ensure educational success!
Another focus within my classroom is personal responsibility. It is vital
that students realize that grades are earned rather than given. Success
depends on their willingness to take responsibility for their actions. Let’s
encourage them to make good choices!
